What Does the Validate Button Do?
The validate button checks the address, city, state and zip/postal code you've entered against Google Maps and suggests addresses. Choose the correct address from the suggestions and it will populate the fields for you. Leave either the city or the zip/postal code blank and Validate will fill it in for you.
The best practice is to Validate every recipient address entered to ensure it's valid and can be routed from the Deliveries manager.
Zip/Postal Code Lookup Using Validate
Enter in all address fields and leave the zip/postal code field blank, then click Validate.
In the example below, the address entered is 1313 HARBOR, Anaheim, CA. The correct full address is updated to 1313 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
Note that the addression validation found the directional "South" part of street address and also corrected the address to proper case!
City Lookup Using Validate
Enter in all address fields and leave the city field blank, then click 'Validate'
In the example below, the address entered is 1313 HARBOR, CA 92802. The correct full address is updated to 1313 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802.
Where Can I Use Validate Button?
- The Take Order screen, in the Customer Info and Recipient Info sections
- On a completed order, in the Recipient Address section

"Help, my address won't route! What do I do?"
If an address will not route in your delivery tab, it's likely that Google Maps cannot read the recipient's address as is. This normally happens if the Validate button is not pushed on the Take Order screen.
Validating an existing order is easy, just go to the Orders tab and search for the order that is not routing. In the order detail page, scroll down to the recipient information. There will be a Validate button underneath the address: click on this.
Clicking Validate will change the address in a way Google Maps can read and route. From here, you should have no issue routing your order!
