Floranext makes it easy to export your customer email addresses to use with newsletters or e-blasts using your preferred newsletter provider.
1. Export Emails from the Floranext POS
First, in your Floranext dashboard navigate to Orders > Customers.
On the right hand side you'll find an Export button. Click that and choose emails. You will be asked whether the resulting file should include either newsletter email submissions, or customer email addresses (or both).
Next, save the file to your computer. Make sure to save it somewhere you can find later!
2. Log into Your Newsletter Account
If you don't have a preferred newsletter provider, here are some free and inexpensive options we recommend:
Each newsletter provider has a free package that will work for most flowers shops and a guide to create custom newsletters. We'll be using MadMimi for the example below, but all providers will have the same eblast features.
3. Load Your Email Addresses into Your Newsletter Contacts
All the providers recommended allow you to add contacts to your email list by uploading the Email list exported from the Floranext POS.
First, click +Add Contacts, then browser for the email address file exported from Floranext. Then click Add Contacts.
That's it! You've uploaded your list to MadMimi.
Now that the email addresses are added, it's time to create the newsletter.
4. Design and Send Newsletter
Each newsletter provider will have different steps to creating the newsletter, but all are fun and easy- to-use with their own tutorials. Please refer to your newsletter provider's help page for assistance.
I get 2 choices: "Export customer emails" and "Export newsletter emails". What's the difference?
